Below is a set of guidelines to assure that you, your child and other attendees get the most out of Tiny Tweeties and everyone remains safe during the sessions you will be attending:
Children must be supervised at all times and not left unattended. You are fully responsible for your child’s safety when attending Tiny Tweeties. The session leader cannot be responsible for a child at any time. During sessions please be aware of your child’s location and monitor behaviour at all times. Running around is discouraged for the safety of your child and others.
Tiny Tweeties is about interacting with your child and enjoying the music and activities together. Therefore we kindly ask that attendees refrain from prolonged or loud chatting during sessions so that they and others can fully enjoy and get the most out of the experience. At the end of the session toys are provided and we recommend that parents / carers use this time to chat with other attendees if they wish to do so.
Please have consideration for other families attending who want to enjoy the session together. We ask that any disruptive behaviour by your child is dealt with calmly and respectfully to cause as little disruption and distraction to the enjoyment of others. If necessary leave the room so other families can still enjoy the session without disruption.
The Instruments you and your child will be provided with are made especially for young children so there are no small parts and they are checked regularly for faults. If you discover any faults or damage to an instrument please return it to the session leader. Please supervise how your child handles the instrument: they should be played sensibly to create sound and participate in the music. Discourage any throwing, and don’t allow children to hit the instruments against other objects or the floor as this can damage them or cause potential injury.
We understand that young children sometimes become upset for a variety of reasons. If your child becomes very distressed and cannot be comforted or distracted during the session we kindly ask that you consider taking a little time out of the room and return once your child is settled.
If you bring snacks along for your child we kindly ask that they are consumed before or after a session. However we totally understand that children may need a little something during the session so for safety reasons we’d ask that you ensure they refrain from dancing etc at the same time as drinking or eating.
Please refrain from bringing large toys, which may obstruct or cause injury. If your child does bring any toys or objects, you are responsible for making sure they are safe, and do not obstruct or distract other attending children.
Please take care of all materials handed out by the session leader, and listen carefully to the instructions they will provide on how they should be used.
Payment is due before the first session of each four-week block, and is non-refundable unless circumstances are exceptional. Your place is fully confirmed once payment has been made.
Tiny Tweeties will endeavour to run all scheduled classes, but under certain circumstances (for example heavy snow or serious illness of session leader) sessions may need to be cancelled. You will be offered an outright refund for any cancelled session, an additional session or a refund against a future block-booking fee.
Parents are advised to keep children at home if they have a serious infection or any transmittable illness. We cannot offer a refund for sessions missed due to illness.
Prolonged mobile phone use is discouraged. Tiny Tweeties is about sharing experiences and creating memories with your child. If you are spending long periods of time and not paying attention to your child a class leader may bring this up with you. If you are taking photos or videos of your child please assure that it does not interfere with the running of the sessions or distract other attendees. Be sensitive of others who may not want their own or their children’s picture to be taken without permission, and if you are asked to stop please do so. Please attempt to keep photography or video capture to a minimum. If the session leader feels the amount is excessive you may be asked to stop. Please remember that session content is under copyright and must not be incorporated into any other activity or published via the internet without our permission.
Please note that property left in prams or bags is your responsibility and Tiny Tweeties cannot take responsibility for these items.
